She has performed internationally in the United States, Austria, Singapore, Australia, Taiwan, and China, including concerts in Salzburg, Vienna, Sydney, Melbourne, Beijing, Guangzhou, and Macau.
Bilinda began studying piano at age five and percussion at age twelve. She continued her percussion studies through high school and college, gaining experience performing in orchestras, concert bands, percussion ensembles, and other musical ensembles. Her background in both piano and percussion has given her a broad perspective as a musician and extensive experience in collaborative and ensemble settings.
Bilinda holds an Artist Certificate from Azusa Pacific University, where she studied solo and chamber music with Dr. Eugene Alcalay, and a Master’s degree in Piano Performance from the University of Colorado Boulder, where she studied with Doris Lehnert and received extensive chamber music coaching from Prof. Margaret McDonald. She earned her Bachelor’s degree in Piano Performance, cum laude, from Wright State University, where she studied with Dr. Jackson Leung.
Since establishing her private piano studio in Los Angeles in 2015, Bilinda has taught students from beginners to advanced levels, including both children and adults. She now teaches at several music studios throughout the greater Chicago area as well as privately at her home studio in Oak Park. Her teaching approach is systematic, clear, and individualized, with an emphasis on developing a strong foundation in technique, sight-reading, music theory, musicianship, and repertoire.
In addition to teaching, Bilinda remains active as a performer and collaborative musician. She currently serves as a church pianist at Christ Lutheran Church of Clarendon Hills and as an accompanist for Western Springs School of Talent Education. She also regularly works with vocalists, instrumentalists, choirs, and ensembles.
Bilinda continues to maintain an active professional life in performance, teaching, and accompanying, offering private piano lessons in Chicagoland and online.
